AidsNutrition works closely with Altria Group to support programs that:
Provide meals through the pantry, congregate or home-delivered meal programs to vulnerable populations including seniors, and people living with critical health conditions and common illnesses.
Build coalitions among anti-hunger organizations that improve service provision.
Develop meaningful approaches to establishing long-term solutions to alleviate chronic illnesses.
Currently available by invitation only, grants are awarded within the structure of three giving initiatives: Community Coalitions, Positive Helpings, and Senior Helpings. The 2016 grant initiative is now closed.
These grants were awarded to regional coalitions of organizations to develop long-term, strategic approaches that address the complex nutritional needs of seniors and people with debilitating illnesses.
These grants were awarded to organizations that provide nutritious meals to people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS. A portion of Positive Helpings’ resources was targeted to supporting the development of innovative solutions that provide new, replicable models of service delivery.
These grants were awarded to meals-on-wheels service providers for the provision of meals to the homebound elderly.
