For
15 years, the Ryan White CARE Act has provided access to medical
treatment and supportive services that have helped thousands of
people sustain their health. The majority of funding from the Act
supports medical care and treatment. However, funding has also been
provided to support key supportive services: food, nutrition counseling,
case management, and transportation, among others. With the reauthorization
process underway, ANSA’s position
is that the Act must continue to fund supportive services. Without
these services, clients cannot successfully participate in medical
care and adhere to treatment.
